Last week I woke up in the middle of the night with a really sharp pain on the right side of my lower back. I couldn't figure out what was wrong but it eventually went away and I was able to go back to sleep so I didn't think too much of it. Well the next day while I was at work the pain came back. When it came back again a couple nights later, I knew that something was really wrong and I needed to go get it checked out.
So at 2am I told my mom that I needed to go to the ER. I went in thinking there was something wrong with my gallbladder since my brother has also had problems with his gallbladder. After a couple test and an ultrasound we found out that I have kidney stones. So after getting some prescriptions for pain and nausea I was sent on my way to wait until they pass.
After many additional day of pain-were I've been very thankful for the pain medicine that I have-today I have so far gone without any pain and I am so thankful for that. Maybe it means that I am done with my first and hopefully last experience with kidney stones.
