A little over a hour away from where I live is a town called Wickliffe, KY. I had the chance to drive through it both to and from Arkansas a few weeks ago. You pronounce it the same way you do Wycliffe.
One of the questions that I've gotten quit a few times is people asking how you pronounce Wycliffe. Many of them state that they thought it was pronounced (Y-cliffe) and not (wick-liffe).
I try my best to correct them so that they are saying it correctly, but really it doesn't matter I guess. Just as long as we know what we are talking about.
So what do you think, how do you think it is pronounced?
